Ahead Of Eid Al-Adha, Zulhas Ensures That Prices Of Basic Materials Drop And Supply Are Sufficient
JAKARTA Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan visited traditional markets in Semarang, Central Java in order to check the prices of a number of basic necessities (bapok) ahead of Eid al-Adha.
Furthermore, the man who is familiarly called Zulhas revealed that the price of bapok was observed to fall in Semarang, Central Java. In fact, the supply was monitored for needs.
This was known based on the results of his monitoring at Karang Ayu Market, Semarang, Central Java today, Sunday, June 11.
"We are currently monitoring the prices of bapok in Semarang City. We have seen prices go down. Chicken meat is from Rp. 40,000 to Rp. 38,000 per kilogram, chili is Rp. 25,000 per kilogram," he said in an official statement, Sunday, June 11.
Then, he said, the price of shallots and garlic kating is the same, which is Rp. 35,000 per kilogram. Meanwhile, chicken eggs are Rp. 31,000 per kilogram.
"If it's rice, standard. People are welcome to shop," he said.
In general, continued Zulhas, the price condition of basic goods tends to be stable. Inflation in May 2023 was recorded to be under control at 4 percent (YoY), even the lowest in the past year.
Especially for cooking oil, said Zulhas, the commodity inflation in May 2023 (MOM) did not contribute to inflation. On an annual basis, cooking oil was deflated 0.19 percent (YoY).
Based on today's monitoring, all monitoring commodity prices were recorded to be stable compared to last week's May 31. Medium rice Rp11,500 per kg, premium rice Rp13,500 per kg, sugar Rp14,000 per kg, Oilita Rp14,000 per liter, packaged cooking oil Rp20,000 per liter.
Then, wheat flour Rp. 14,000 per kg, beef Rp. 130,000 per kg, curly red chilies Rp. 25,000 per kg, large red chilies Rp. 30,000 per kg, and red cayenne pepper Rp. 35,000 per kg.
