The Ministry Of PUPR Proposes An Indicative Ceiling For 2024 Of IDR 128.15 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) revealed that the indicative ceiling for Fiscal Year (TA) 2024 is IDR 128.15 trillion. The amount of the budget is prioritized in national programs in accordance with the theme of the Government Work Plan (RKP) in 2024, namely 'Accelerated Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Transformation'.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said, in the implementation of the 2024 FY infrastructure spending program, the Ministry of PUPR focused on completing cross-year construction work (Multi Years Contract), as well as optimizing infrastructure that had been built through the Operational, Maintenance, Optimization and Rehabilitation (OPOR) approach, and Presidential Directive.

"According to the direction of the President, all construction work must be completed by the end of 2024, so that the community can immediately benefit the infrastructure," Minister Basuki said in a press release, Thursday, June 8.

The indicative ceiling of the Ministry of PUPR FY 2024 budget will be used for activities in the field of water resources amounting to Rp44.00 trillion.

As for the details, the indicative ceiling for the Secretariat General is IDR 568 billion, for the Inspectorate General IDR 91 billion, the Directorate General of Water Resources IDR 44 trillion, the Directorate General of Highways IDR 49 trillion, the Directorate General of Human Settlements IDR 27 trillion, the Directorate General of Housing IDR 6.19 trillion, and the Directorate General of Construction IDR 58 billion.

Furthermore, for the Directorate General of PUPR Infrastructure Financing amounting to Rp129 billion, the Human Resources Development Agency Rp425 billion, and the Regional Infrastructure Development Agency Rp141 billion.

Basuki said that the budget ceiling of the Directorate General of Highways will have additional additions in line with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023. Meanwhile, the government has budgeted IDR 32.7 trillion to repair regional roads.

"We see that in 2024 there are still other than regional road inpres, which is now IDR 32.7 trillion, yes, maybe there will be multi-years in the future, including the 2024 Presidential Instruction itself, there will be an allocation," he explained.

"The additional allocation will be adjusted to the capacity in implementing the Presidential Instruction," he concluded.

For your information, the Ministry of PUPR received a budget ceiling of Rp. 125.22 trillion in 2023 and increased by Rp. 15.7 trillion, so that the ceiling finally became Rp. 140.92 trillion.

The details of the additional budget include the construction of IKN of IDR 5.61 trillion, handling natural disasters of IDR 160 billion, structuring the Asean Summit of IDR 170 billion, renovation of sports infrastructure of IDR 140 billion, and support for KIT Batang of IDR 700 billion.
