Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources: Gas Needs In KITB Are Projected To Reach 36 MMSCFD
BATANG - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif conveyed that the need for gas in the Integrated Industrial Zone of Batang Regency (KITB), Central Java, is projected to reach around 36 million standard feet per day or million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD).
"It is projected that the gas needs for all large and small factories built in the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone will reach around 36 MMSCFD," Arifin said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 7.
According to him, (the need for gas) will be carried out in stages. The gas pipeline will be connected from the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone to Cirebon (West Java).
There are two points where gas drilling will be carried out under the road foundation which is expected to be completed by the end of June 2023.
"The plan is for August 2023, the system is ready to receive gas. Next, (the gas connection) enters the industry at the end of October 2023," he said.
He said the Ceramic House company might start gas needs, namely in November 2023 or December 2023.

Then it will be followed by the KCC company in the second quarter or third quarter of next year.
"So let the situation be safe if all progress goes smoothly. What must be resolved at this time is the agreement to buy and sell gas between users and sellers which will be completed in the next one or two months," he said.
Arifin added, Batang Integrated Industrial Estate as a National Strategic Project will be fully supported by the Central Java Provincial Government and Batang Regency Government.
