Tennis Sport Becomes Phenomenon, Dash Sports Holds Amateur Tournament

JAKARTA - Penggas as well as the pioneer of the digital sports hub Dash Sports will hold an amateur tennis tournament on 17-18 June 2023. The tournament, entitled TipTip Dash Tennis Tournament, will be held at the Bulungan Tennis Field, South Jakarta.

There are 3 categories that are competed by involving 96 teams from a number of communities and sports clubs from the Jabodetabek area.

The three categories include Men's Double (Mix Beginner x Intermediate), Women's Double Intermediate, and Women's Beginner. Each category will compete in 32 teams.

Founder & CEO of Dash Sports, Alit Aryaguna revealed, this event was born to answer the phenomenon of positive growth in enthusiasm and popularity of field tennis.

"Dash Sports, which is strongly committed to carrying out the spirit of sports and a healthy lifestyle, the Indonesian family held the Dash Tennis Tournament which invited community participation and tennis sports clubs around the Jabodetabek area," he said at a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 7.

Public enthusiasm to join Dash Tennis Tournament was felt when registration opened. Within days, the organizers were forced to close the tournament registration which offered a total prize of Rp125 million.

The reason is, the quota provided has been fulfilled. "A total of 96 teams have competed plus wheelchair tennis exhibition matches," said the Event Director of Dash Tennis Tournament, Ardi Rahadi.

Ardi further explained that the tournament competed in the qualifying round with rules 1 set of 8 games, 8-8 tie breaks and 2 deces (Third degenerate death) and the final round with the rules Best of three sets of 6 games, 6-6 tiebreaks and third set super tiebreaks.

At this event, the ethnic wheelchair tennis match was also held which brought together PP Pelti's disabled athletes. This received the appreciation of the parent tennis player.

"We appreciate Dash Sports for his good initiative to hold this wheelchair tennis exhibition match at the Dash Tennis Tournament. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a promising development synergy," said PP Pelti, Head of Sports Person with Disabilities, Dr. Ismun Dwi Karyatiningsih. The Dash Tennis Tournament event can be watched by the public for free, just coming to the South Jakarta Bulungan Tennis Field on Saturday-Sunday, 17-18 June 2023. The match will be held from 9 am to 10 pm.
