Police Arrest 7 Perpetrators Of Sexual Abuse Of Teenage Girls In Gorontalo
GORONTALO - Police arrested seven people suspected of being the perpetrators of the molestation case against a 15-year-old girl.
The Head of Public Relations of the Gorontalo Police, AKBP Desmont Harjendro, said the seven suspects arrested were FA (the victim's girlfriend), MP (23), RL (25), NA 22, ED (27), NT (43), and RL.
"Currently, the victim's girlfriend with the initials FA is still being investigated at the Kabila Police Headquarters," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 5.
He explained that the arrests of the seven men began with reports from the victim's parents at the SPKT Polsek Kabila, who said that her daughter had not returned for three days.
Coinciding with the report, members of the Kabila Police found the victim on the side of the road.
"According to the victim's confession, at first he was invited by his girlfriend to go to the suspect's house. Arriving there, they drank. After the victim was weak and under the influence of alcohol, the victim's girlfriend had sex with her three times," said AKBP Desmont Harjendro.
According to the victim's confession, apart from the victim's girlfriend, colleagues from the victim's boyfriend also had sex and molested the victim at different times and places.
"Of these seven people, there were those who had sex, there were also those who molested the victim. There were five crime scenes and different times. Everything happened in the Gorontalo Regency area. The time range was from May 30 to June 1, 2023," explained AKBP Desmont.

After receiving a report from the victim's parents and conducting an investigation, it didn't take long for the joint team to successfully apprehend the alleged perpetrators one by one.
"For their actions, they will be subject to Article 81 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2016, for amendments to the second of Law Number 23 of 2014, which was previously Law Number 35 of 2009, with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison, and a maximum fine of IDR 5 billion rupiah," concluded AKBP Desmont.
