Ganjar Opens Up With The Proposal Of Vice Presidential Candidates: Staying With Ngopi Talks Long About This Country

JAKARTA - The presidential candidate (candidate) from the PDI-P (PDIP) Ganjar Pranowo has taken an open stance regarding the many proposals from various parties regarding the figure who is considered worthy of accompanying him as a vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

According to Ganjar, the names proposed to be his companion vice presidential candidates are great figures in the country.

"Many great names in the Republic (Indonesia). We just have to sit together for coffee, talk longer about this country," said Ganjar as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, June 3.

One of the figures who is heavily proposed as a vice presidential candidate for Ganjar is the Minister of SOEs as well as the General Chair of PSSI Erick Thohir. Responding to this, Ganjar said that Erick was one of the great leaders in Indonesia.

He also admitted that he had a good relationship with the figures proposed by several parties to become his assistant vice presidential candidate.

"Oh (with respect to) everything is good. From the existing list, among them, there must be a match. Mrs. Mega (Chairman of PDIP) said, not much, definitely only one, so we have to talk," he said.

Previously, Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Yandri Susanto stated that his party would continue to encourage Erick to become a vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

"PAN will continue to carry Erick Thohir as a vice presidential candidate with whoever the coalition is," he said.
