Kelawi Village In Lampung Officially Becomes The Best Tourism Village

BANDARLAMPUNG - Kelawi Village in Lampung, which has the charm of nature, has now been inaugurated as the 29th best tourist village in the Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI).

"We support Indonesian tourism to develop, especially in South Lampung in Kelawi Village," said Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno, in South Lampung, Saturday during the inauguration of Kelawi Village.

He said Kelawi Village was named the 29th best tourist village out of 75 tourist villages throughout Indonesia in ADWI.

"Earlier, I tried jogging to several locations on Minang Rua Beach, Kelawi Village, such as the Lampung Green shop, Jemara waterfall, Khaja Saka waterfall," he was also quoted as saying by ANTARA, Saturday, May 27.

He said that with the cleanliness of the coast in the village still maintained, Kelawi Tourism Village could become one of the sustainable tourist destinations.

"Earlier, I tried to swim in open waters and the water was very clean, and the beach was maintained. This could be one of the leading destinations for healing, and refreshing. With affordable prices and short travel times, only three hours from Jakarta," he said again.

He explained that with so many tourist villages developed, it is hoped that they can continue to advance tourism, increase the number of jobs, and improve the welfare of the village community.

Another response was said by the Secretary of Pokdarwis Minang Rua Bahari, Rian Haikal.

"The advantage of this village is that it has one million attractions in one destination. So it can see mountains, beaches, culture being one here," said Rian Haikal.

According to him, the election of Kelawi Village as ADWI's 29th tourist village can help improve the welfare of the local community.

"Here there are Lalay Caves, Green levy, Batu Alif Camping Tourism, Underwater Park, Jemara Falls, and Minang Raa Beach, the potential can be increased again, for village progress," he concluded.
