Golkar Has Not Received Dedi Mulyadi's Resignation Letter Which Moved To Gerindra
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, said that his party had not yet received Dedi Mulyadi's resignation letter, which is now moving to Gerindra.
"We will get a letter of resignation from the circulars in the media. Officially, the formal (resignment letter) has not yet," said Doli as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 17.
He explained that his party has its own mechanism regarding the resignation of a cadre. There are also processes that must be passed, such as internal meetings with the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Golkar Party.
For this reason, Doli asked Dedi Mulyadi to attend the meeting to clarify and explain his current position. If the issue is true, he hopes that Dedi can convey it directly to the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto.
"We invited Pak Dedi to attend, ask for clarification, if it is true, it will be conveyed directly to the chairman," he continued.
According to Doli, Golkar is still registering Dedi Mulyadi as a candidate for DPR member in the 2024 General Election. Not only that, the completeness of the required documents to become candidates for the Golkar Party is still well stored and has not been withdrawn.
"In the list of 580 candidates proposed by Golkar yesterday, there is still Mr. Dedi Mulyadi's name," he said.
Previously, on Saturday (13/5), Dedi Mulyadi was still reluctant to comment on his resignation from the Golkar Party and members of the Indonesian House of Representatives, although there were rumors that he would run as a candidate through the Gerindra Party in the 2024 election.
"Later (mentioning)," said Dedi by telephone when asked about his resignation letter from the Golkar Party which was widely circulated among various journalists, Saturday.
In addition, the Gerindra Party registered Dedi Mulyadi as a candidate for DPR member from the party at the KPU office, Jakarta, Saturday (13/5). Then on Sunday (14/5), the Golkar Party also registered Dedi Mulyadi as a candidate for DPR member.

"In submitting the results of the verification (administration of the requirements for submitting prospective members of the DPR RI), we will clarify to the two parties. So, basically this is the right one like that," said KPU member Idham Holik to reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday (16/5).
Currently, Idham admits that he cannot confirm whether Dedi Mulyadi's candidacy violates the rules or not. In the verification stage, the KPU will check the alleged multiplicity of registration and Dedi's documents using two articles.
