Google Presents Zoom, YouTube, And GameSnack Supports To Android Auto

JAKARTA - Google is rolling out some new features to Android Auto, seeing that drivers around the world spend more time in cars. Especially in the US, drivers spend nearly 70 billion hours behind the wheel, each year.

"To be available in nearly 200 million cars by the end of this year, the newly redesigned Android Auto brings the best of your phone into your car. You can access thousands of media applications, messaging, navigation, parking, and charging directly from your car screen," said Rohan Khan, Director, Auto Product Management. in a Google blog, quoted Thursday, May 11.

Some of the new features that come to Android Auto are video calling apps that allow you not to miss important meetings like Microsoft Teams, Webex by Cisco, and Zoom.

In addition, Google will also bring YouTube support to selected automakers such as Polestar and Volvo Cars, which have committed to bringing this experience to their cars via over-the-air software updates.

"Thus, you can easily watch favorite videos if, for example, waiting for pick-up by the side of the road," added Khan.

If you're tired of waiting, Google has also brought GameSnacks to the car with built-in Google. Drivers will soon have access to popular titles such as Beach Buggy Racing 2, Solitaire FrVR, and My Talking Tom Friends from publishers such as Vector Unit, FRVR, and Outfit7 Limited.

"You can also easily follow friends and family while traveling. Google assistants will share smart suggestions so you can quickly respond to messages, share your arrival times, and others with one tap from your screen," he concluded.

The search giant said all of these features would soon be in the car with Google built-in in the next few months.
