The Amblas Train Line In Tanjungkarang Has Been Repaired, The Train Trip Is Back To Normal

BANDARLAMPUNG - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Divre IV Tanjungkarang said that the railway line (KA) which collapsed due to natural conditions was successfully repaired. "Implementation of the subsidence path at km 206+0/2 plots of the route between Gilas-Sepancar and km 152/+2 plots of the route between the Great-Belbangan Umpu Country was successfully carried out on Thursday," said the Daily Executive of the Public Relations Manager of Divre IV Tanjungkarang, Muhammad Reza Fahlepi, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 8. Therefore, he continued, since Friday 5 May the operation at Tanjungkarang Station or the trip could already be carried out, although indeed the train had to limit its speed when crossing the two plots of the route that had collapsed. "This is because KAI considers safety, both passengers and employees who are on the train," he said. However, he continued, gradually the speed of the train will also be increased. His party will also continue to improve its capabilities on the double track so that it can be passed back at normal speed. KAI Divre IV also continues to take various steps and efforts to normalize the path, strengthen the foundation, increase the stone or cryik, and strengthen the KA path using heavy equipment.

"Furthermore, add the number of personnel at the location so that the route returns to its full normalization. In this normalization effort, all KAI ranks to the Board of Directors level went directly to the field to participate in ensuring the progress of the work," he said. Previously, due to the subsidence of the railway line due to natural conditions since April 28, 2023, approximately 5,000 to 6,000 people had canceled travel tickets.
