3 KKB Members Of The Murder Perpetrator In Dekai Papua Arrested

The Cartenz Peace Task Force team arrested three of the nine members of an armed criminal group (KKB), the perpetrators of a criminal act of severe persecution, causing the victim to die at Dekai Statistics, Yahukimo Regency, Papua.

Head of Operations for the Cartenz Peace Task Force 2023 Kombes Faizal Ramadhani said the three perpetrators were arrested along with six other people during a raid operation by the Yahukimo Police and the Cartenz Peace Task Force in one of the houses suspected of hiding the KKB at 03.00 WIT.

"From the results of the interim examination, it was known that of the nine people who were arrested, three of them were the perpetrators of the murder of civilians on Jalan Statistican Dekai District, Yahukimo on Sunday (30/4)," said Faizal, Thursday, May 4.

Nine people were arrested in the raid, namely GS, HS, JS, SS, NM, LS, LS, ES, and SL. Meanwhile, the initials of the three perpetrators of the murder were NM, EDS, and ES.

He explained that the three perpetrators had been named suspects for the murder of two civilians named Yonatan Arruan and Asri Obet. The role of the three suspects was to persecute the victim using sharp weapons. For example, the perpetrator NM stabbed victim Asri Obet with a knife.

Then, the suspect ES used a machete to stab the victim Yonatan Arfuan.

"Meanwhile, the suspect ES also stabbed the victim Yonathan with a machete," said Faizal.

According to Faizal, from the results of the in-depth investigation, it was revealed that there were nine perpetrators of the murder. With the arrest of the three perpetrators, there were still six other people in pursuit.

In addition, the Cartenz Peace Task Force Team and the Yahukimo Police continue to investigate to find out the motive for the murder.

"The Cartenz Peace Task Force continues to pursue the other six perpetrators whose identities have been identified," said Faizal.

Previously, a joint team from the Yahukimo Police and the Cartenz Peace Task Force 2023, Thursday (4/5) carried out a raid on one of the houses suspected of hiding armed criminal groups (KKB).

The raid was carried out on Jalan Paradiso behind the Anggruk Complex, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains.

The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Prabowo, in Jayapura, Thursday, said the raid was carried out at 03.00 WIT and secured nine people who were inside. In the raid, officers secured evidence in the form of a number of personal documents, electronic devices, sharp weapons in the form of arrows, axes, machetes, scissors, air rifles, tools, and one homemade weapon.
