Free From Prison For Marijuana Case, Russian Caucasians Deported From Bali
A Russian man with the initials IE (38) was deported from Bali. This Russian foreigner was deported after being released from prison for a marijuana drug case.
Head of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Bali, Anggiat Napitupulu said foreigners had violated Article 75 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.
"Immmigration officials have the authority to carry out immigration administrative actions against foreigners who are in Indonesian territory who carry out dangerous activities and should be suspected of endangering security and public order or not respecting or disobeying statutory regulations," said Anggiat, Wednesday, May 3.
This Russian foreigner came to Indonesia in October 2020. A year later this foreigner was arrested for buying marijuana.
"For his actions, he was sentenced to imprisonment for one year and eight months because he was legally and convincingly proven to have committed a crime of narcotics abuse," said Anggiat.
This foreigner was then released from Bangli prison on March 22 and handed over to the Immigration Office Class I TPI Denpasar.
"However, because the deportation process cannot be carried out immediately, the Class I Immigration office of TPI Denpasar handed over the person concerned to the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim) on March 24, 2023 for further detention and efforts to deport it further," he explained.

Furthermore, this Russian foreigner suffered 40 days at the Denpasar Rudenim. After the administration including the return ticket was pocketed, this foreigner left the Island of the Gods.
This Russian foreigner was deported via Ngurah Rai Airport on Wednesday, May 3 in the morning on the route to Moscow's final destination.
