President Joko Widodo Purchased Natural Color Weaving Fabrics From Sikka NTT While Traveling To Batu Cermin Cave
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo bought woven fabrics for Rp. 1 million which used natural dyes from Sikka Regency exhibited by local MSMEs in Batu Cermin Cave, Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara."Earlier, President Joko Widodo first bought a woven cloth, it was wearing a natural color, blue costs Rp. 1 million," said Finka (26) from Kananta Art Shop, showing off its products in front of Batu Cermin Labuan Bajo Cave, Antara, Sunday, April 23.The woven cloth purchased by President Joko Widodo is a genuine woven cloth from Sikka Regency. The cloth uses a natural blue coloring of tarum leaves.The fabrics were made starting from one day fermented tarum leaves. After that, the leaves were coated with lime, mixed with threads, then put in threads.After putting the thread on, the color you get is light blue. However, the thread is removed, dried, then through the process repeatedly so that the desired blue color is obtained. "One cloth was made for about three months," said Finka.In addition to buying woven fabrics for Rp. 1 million, President Joko Widodo also bought weaving derivative products that use natural dyes.Some of these products are Ende's motif beach cap, a bucket hat for Jan Ethes Sikka motifs, Sikka's young blue bracelet for La Lembah Manah, and Selvi Ananda's Sikka motif bag.Product sellers are happy and proud because President Jokowi supports the rise of local MSMEs.Ravika, who is also from MSME Kananta Art Shop, was touched because of the president's arrival at his selling place.
