Puan: Celebrate Victory Day With Loved Ones
JAKARTA - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, congratulated all Muslims on Eid al-Fitr. He invited the Indonesian people to continue to unite in the spirit of friendship and mutual cooperation.
"One month of fasting, God willing, make us a person who is tawat, patient, and tawakal. Now there is a day of victory, the holy day of Eid al-Fitr," said Puan, Friday, April 21.
The first woman to serve as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives also invited the Indonesian people to take advantage of the Lebaran moment as an event to strengthen ties between families and fellow nation's children. According to Puan, the warmth of friendship will strengthen the unity of the nation and state.
"The increase in the values of Ramadan worship in daily life. Don't forget to help those in need," he added.
Puan also invited the public to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with great joy. Especially now that Indonesia is no longer in PPKM status, so that people can gather with their families to celebrate Eid.

Bung Karno's grandson added that the culture of friendship has been a characteristic of the Indonesian nation for a long time. Puan said that religion and culture are two things that can be connected to each other.

"That good idea is still there. Maintaining good teachings, of course will also produce good things for the nation and state," added Puan.
Even so, the public is asked to maintain health protocols when doing activities at the moment of Eid. Puan reminded that the recent increase in COVID-19 cases due to the new variant of Omicron XXB.1.16 or Arcturus must alert all parties.
