Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources: Stocks And Distribution Of Fuel On The Southern Line Of Java Are Safe
JAKARTA - For the readiness of the oil and gas sector in dealing with the flow of homecoming and back to Eid al-Fitr 2023, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) monitors the stock and distribution of fuel oil on the southern route of Java, especially the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).
Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Tutuka Ariadji in Kulon Progo, DIY, Friday (14/4/2023) said that through monitoring the availability and distribution of fuel, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources wanted to ensure the readiness of infrastructure and fuel supply in DIY ahead of Eid al-Fitr in a safe and reliable condition.
"For the preparation, I see that in terms of infrastructure and supply, it is quite ready. On this southern route, our estimate is that during D Lebaran and a few days earlier, a week later, and a week later it will increase by around 40-60 percent. We also check in the field, in Pertamina, the tanks are sufficient. Then, the charging system, from which terminal it is taken, has been prepared," he said, quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Jakarta, Saturday.
Similarly, Member of the Committee of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Eman Salman Arief also stated that the readiness of supply and distribution at the Rewulu Fuel Terminal (TBBM) and a number of public gas stations (SPBU) in DIY served the needs of the community in the 2023 Eid period.
"One of our activities, at several gas stations in Yogya and TBBM Rewulu is to ensure Pertamina's readiness regarding the Ramadan and Eid Task Force (RAFI) and we will see at several gas stations in Yogya, as well as Rewulu, Pertamina has prepared it during Ramadan until the flow of homecoming and return later," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, April 15.
During his visit to TBBM Rewu, DIY, Eman also stated that the stock and distribution of fuel during the period of the RAFI Command Post went well, under control, and safely.
"We go to TBBM Rewu to ensure its readiness to supply gas stations, including Adisucipto Airport and Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). This has been done by Pertamina, it has been prepared, and hopefully it will go well. Alhamdulillah, the fuel stock is under control, safe, and God willing, everything will be sufficient, including the distribution," he said.
Before Rewulu, Eman visited gas stations 44,552.11 in Yogyakarta City and gas stations 44,556.03 in Kulon Progo Regency to ensure the reliability of the services of the two gas stations to the public.
In general, the availability of fuel stocks and distribution is safe and running smoothly, including certain types of fuel (JBT) and special types of fuel assignments (JBKP).
It was noted that JBKP's stock resilience in the central Java region reached 11 days and JBKP for 16 days.
Meanwhile, during the RaFI Task Force period, the consumption of the transportation sector for JBKP is estimated to increase by 31 percent compared to normal consumption. On the other hand, JBT is predicted to fall 1.5 percent to normal sales.
The monitoring team also pays special attention to aspects of health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) in the storage and distribution of fuel to the community.
"Regarding HSSE, it is also our concern. In carrying out the mandate to distribute fuel, these four aspects must be done well. Thank God, TBBM Rewulu has done well and accordingly," said Eman.
Not only that, according to him, Pertamina has also alerted safety workers at gas stations to ensure that HSSE activities run well. The safety man is trained to deal with emergencies that may occur at gas stations.
"At the gas station there is a safety man, it is one of the efforts to maintain HSSE at gas stations. Hopefully what has been done will provide lessons in this RAFI period and so on," he concluded.
