Sales And Streaming Figures Of Fallen Album Reaches 10 Million, Evanescence Awarded Diamond Placards
JAKARTA - Evanescence was awarded a diamond plaque for the achievement of their debut album, Fallen, which recorded sales and streaming figures of ten million units in the United States.
The presentation took place when Evanescence appeared at the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles late Thursday, April 6 as a support measure for Muse.
A day later, social media Evanescence shared several photos of members holding the Fallen diamond placard.
"Fallen has officially received a diamond. Really can't say anything, it's an honor! Thank you for the extraordinary 20 years," wrote the message accompanying the photos.
The presentation of the diamond plaque for Fallen lasted more than four months after the album was certified by the American Recording Industry Association (RIAA).
Led by the single success of Bring Me to Life, which also appeared in the soundtrack of the film Daredevil, Fallen produced three more singles with Going Under, My Immortal, and Everybody's Pool.
Evanescence also won the Grammys in 2004 for "Best Newcomers Artist" and "Best Hard Rock Performance".
