Pulo Gebang Terminal Officers Find Several AKAP Buses Not Roadworthy For Lebaran 2023 Homecoming
JAKARTA - Officers found several intercity inter-provincial buses (AKAP) at Pulo Gebang Terminal that did not deserve roads for the 2023 homecoming while conducting a pre-ramp-check test or a gradual feasibility test for public transport vehicles.
"From us, the results of yesterday's pre ramp-check on Friday, April 7, there were several broken or cracked glass buses, and the bare tires, the bus wipers were incomplete, the bus's body was porous," said Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal Team Commander Mahbud at Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal, East Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, April 8.
Of the 13 buses that took the pre-ramp-check, there were three buses that were not feasible and would be given the opportunity to repair the bus so that it could operate. Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal also performs test-feasibility for bus drivers such as urine tests. If an unfit driver is found, he will be replaced with a backup driver.
"We have two drivers, so there is a backup driver and the driver who will be on duty. So if for example the driver is checked for unfeasible urine, his health is not good enough, so he must be replaced," explained Mahbud. Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal has started to conduct gradual public transport vehicle or pre-ramp-check tests since February 27, especially for the fleet used in Eid homecoming. "This ramp-check is coordinated by the Ministry of Transportation with the Director General of Land Transportation and also from BPTJ, it was gradually yesterday from February 27 to regular buses operating here," said Head of the Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal UP Subdivision. Junaedi at Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal, East Jakarta, Wednesday (29/4).
