Bitcoin Creator Satoshi Nakamoto 48th Birthday: Identity Speculation Continues

JAKARTA - On April 5, the legendary Bitcoin maker, Satoshi Nakamoto, turned 48 years old. This was revealed according to information provided to the P2P Foundation's global network during registration.

Although the identity of the Bitcoin creator and his birthday remain unknown to the public, crypto enthusiasts noted that Satoshi's age grew by one year on his P2P Foundation profile - showing his birthday on April 5, 1975.

Crypto users have suggested that this date - as Satoshi may represent a group of people rather than individuals - may have come from the day in 1933 when United States President Franklin Delano Roosevelt began removing the country from gold standards, issuing executive orders for all US citizens to return coins and gold certificates worth more than $100 to the Federal Reserve.

Guessing the true identity of people or people who help create genuine cryptocurrencies has become a popular hobby among many users on social media and online forums. Among the proposed names are computer scientist and Bit Gold creator Nick Szabo, BTC contributor Hal Finney - who died in 2014 - cryptograph Adam Back, and Japanese-American engineer and physicist

Although Satoshi's face remains unknown, crypto space members continue to honor them by using their pictures in other ways. The bronze-carved Bitcoin creators are on display for Grabisoft Park visitors in Budapest in 2021, and many people nominate Satoshi as a Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences recipient every year.

Another important date for BTC fans including the publication of the Bitcoin white paper on October 31, 2008, as well as the Genesis Day Bitcoin on January 3, 2009, marks Satoshi's time to mine the first BTC block leading to the first coin spending. There are many more to come: the next half of BTC reduction is expected in 2024 along with 21 million coin mining.

At the time of publication, the price of Bitcoin was 28,296 US dollars (IDR 423.5 million), up more than 26% in the last 30 days.
