LIVE A LIVE Classic RPG Remakes Coming To PlayStation And PC On April 27

JAKARTA - Square Enix has announced that the LIVE A LIVE remake, a remaster of the 1994 classic Super Famicom RPG available on the Nintendo Switch, will be coming to PS4, PS5, and PC on April 27.

Not only that, Square Enix has also released a free demonstration that is available today, which allows you to play through the opening part of the three stories in the game.

"This new game revives the classic game for modern audiences around the world with stunning HD-2D visual styles as featured in OCTOPATH TRAVELER II and beautiful soundtracks that are reorganized fully supervised by the original composer, Yoko Shimomura," the studio wrote in its blog.

LIVE A LIVE will feature seven characters that can be played spread across various eras, from prehistoric to Japanese eras of Edo and The Wild West.

The presence of an antagonist called Odio appears in each era. Each character will also offer a different story and game mechanism, with HD-2D visually bringing the game to life in an extraordinary new way.

In the demonstration, players can play through the opening part of three stories, namely The Wild West, Twilight of Edo Japan, and also The Distant Future.

If you are a pre-order on the PlayStation Store and Steam now, you will get a 20 percent discount. "We hope you are excited to play LIVE A LIVE and start your journey across history," concluded Square Enix.
