Opel Will Prepare Tourism Facilities Cars On The Moon

JAKARTA - It does not make human reason that one day there will be tourism to space by car. A vehicle company from Germany, Opel will make that happen.

Opel will be the pioneer of car providers for lunar tourism through Opel Corsa Moon II. In collaboration with Blitz, they will be the first mobility providers to start offering tourism in the month in the middle of the decade.

Reporting from Stellantis' official website, Sunday, April 1, 2023, the space car is equipped with space-age technology that offers optimal balance including driving comfort, reliability, and stable performance on the moon.

Opel Corsa Moon II base is from Corsa-e, the Opel electric car which is one of the best-selling in Germany. Corsa Moon II will be powered by solar, laser technology, and net-pattered wheels.

The Opel Research and Development Division has considered various energy variables for which this car is suitable for being brought to the moon. They chose solar energy as one of the best options to drive the car on the moon.

Solar cells will efficiently provide Corsa Moon II with power on a 500 kWh battery. This car is claimed to be able to travel up to 7,000 km in single charge according to the ULTP (Universe-wide Harmonized Light-duty Vehicle Test Procedure).

To stabilize its performance on the moon, Opel embeds airproof and long-lasting space tires. This is another form of innovation in the concept of a space car from Opel.

The wheels can ensure stronger grip on the extra-terrestrial surface and cannot leak thanks to the highly elastic nickel titanium material, but very sturdy.

The Corse Moon II chassis is also raised distance from the land which is sufficient to land and wander in the lunar area.

This car will also be equipped with the latest Intelli-Lux Laser light. The light has a high intensity that can react faster, thus providing optimal visibility for the lunar surface.

On each front light, a small laser module produces adaptive light files that function as spotlights that can shine several thousand meters. The light can illuminate 1,000 light prisons from those produced by terrestrial LEDs.
