Pertamina Affirms Safe Fuel And LPG Supply After The Incident At RU II Dumai

JAKARTA The North Sumatra Regional Patra Niaga Pertamina stated that the supply and distribution of energy in its operational area went well and safely after the incident that hit Refinery Unit II (RU II) Dumai on Saturday night.

This assurance was conveyed by Area Manager Comm, Rel & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Susanto August Satria in an official statement today.

According to him, the supply and distribution of fuel and LPG for the people in the Sumbagut Region will continue to run safely after the incident that befell Refinery Unit II (RU II) Dumai.

"People don't worry about the stock in the Integrated Terminal (IT), Fuel Terminal (FT) and Sarfas Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, it is certain that it is safe and continues to operate normally," he said on Sunday, February 2.

According to him, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut has distribution operations covering five provinces, namely Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau and Riau Islands.

"The Dumai RU II refinery supplies fuel and LPG to the Sarfas-sarfas operation of the Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, including FT and IT located in Riau Province, Riau Islands and North Sumatra," he said.

Satria also said that Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut continued to coordinate intensively with the RU II Dumai Refinery.

"In addition to coordinating with the Dumai RU II Refinery, we have intensively coordinated with our FT and IT, so far the stock conditions in FT and IT have been sufficient to supply community energy needs. Our distribution process is still running normally, we received information that the current refinery conditions are running normally and everything can be resolved properly and safely," he concluded.
