Ganjar Pranowo Emphasizes Santri Must Have An Entrepreneur Spirit

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo is proud to see the independence of the students while attending the Santripreneur Digital Business Competition entitled From Islamic Boarding Schools to Islamic Boarding Schools, at the Roudhlotul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School complex, Balekambang, Jepara, Thursday, March 30.

On that occasion, Ganjar was accompanied by the caretaker of the KH Ma'mun Abdullah Islamic boarding school greeting dozens of competition participants from various Islamic boarding schools in Central Java.

"Good in my opinion. So if we can develop the economy, this is a populist, then the students are taught to become entrepreneurs, it turns out they can," said Ganjar.

Participants in the competition include Pemalang, Tegal, Jepara and Semarang. Jawara from the competition is a santripreneur from Ponpes in Semarang who has a snack business.

Meanwhile, the second winner was won by Zaza Busana from Ponpes in Pemalang. The third winner was won by a santripreneur from Jepara with the business name Pelangi Boga.

"When then we can cooperate with marketplaces like this, for example with Shopee, they are trained," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Shopee Barokah, Bukhori Muslim, expressed his admiration for the creativity of the students. Ganjar also believes that the santripreneurs can advance to class.

"My hope is that they don't stop here, they will advance to class. So the products can be curated, then the quality can be improved, the packaging is good, to placement," he said.

During the incubation, continued GGanjar Pranowo, students must also be taught about sales management. So, they will easily do bookkeeping.

"Our hope is that they can not only produce, but also sell and can record well. So these students have skills, if they are finished later," he explained.

In addition, said Ganjar, this is also in line with Kiai Ma'mun's thoughts as the caretaker of the boarding school. That the future of a student is not fixated on being a preacher or teacher, but can become an entrepreneur and even another professional.

"So, I hope that Pak Kiai doesn't need to be a kiai, become an entrepreneur too, become a TNI, become a Polri, become an executive and I think this is a good way to work together between Islamic boarding schools and the business world," he said.

On that occasion, Gus Miftahudin as a representative of the Roudhlotul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School hopes that similar events can be held regularly again. He believes that the enthusiasm of students to become entrepreneurs will increase.

"Hopefully, in the future, entrepreneurial passion will increase and pesantren independence will improve so that it will have a positive impact on the development of pesantren independence. We must be empowered in science, religion and economy," said Ganjar Pranowo.
