Eko Patrio Says That Basic Food Sharing Activities To Jatinegara Residents Have BeenFramed, Even Though It's Not A Campaign

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta National Mandate Party (PAN) DPW Eko Hendro Purnomo or who is usually called Eko Patrio denied having carried out the 2024 election campaign by distributing basic necessities in Bidara Cina, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Sunday, March 12."Actually, it should be noted together that I have not registered as a legislative candidate in the 2024 election," said Eko at the DKI Jakarta PAN DPW Office, Cipinang, as reported by Antara, Thursday, March 30.Eko emphasized that the distribution of basic necessities was carried out as a member of the DPR, not as an election participant."Yes, so yesterday I did meet with my cadres, my sympathizers and finally I socialized and provided basic necessities, which contained vegetable oil, rice and others," he said.Eko said that going down to the constituent was a function as a member of the DPR. He considered what he did was normal."So that's the last function of the DPR to meet the electoral districts, the people. So it's only natural that I give, it's good to give it right," he said."I came, I am a member of the DPR, not just a promise from heaven. It's better to come, say, I give you a fortune," he said.Eko considers the viral narrative to have been 'framing' so as to generate negative opinions."Indeed, yesterday I didn't know if it was 'framing' or who. I also don't know that, but that's okay too. My parents said 'dizolimized means worship'," said Eko.He said that the distribution of basic necessities was not only carried out during the month of Ramadan."I've been sharing since COVID-19. I distributed masks, hand sanitizers, made free 'online' educational packages, which were abbreviated as 'Pak Eko' at five points," he said.During COVID-19, he once distributed food packages in five regions, even the number reached one million (packages) for basic necessities. "This means that it is not strange if I give it," he said.Eko admitted that he did not know the attitude of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) regarding this activity. However, he will establish communication with Bawaslu.
"If there is a warning from Bawaslu so on, we will communicate later whether this is received a warning or not. But so far we have always communicated with Bawaslu, KPUD and so on, it's still fine," he said.
