Alcohol And Revenge Are Motives For The Murder Of A Man From Palembang In Tanah Abang

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police and the Tanah Abang Metro Police managed to uncover the motive for the murder that occurred on Jalan Jatibaru Raya, precisely under the Tanah Abang Multipurpose Crossing Bridge (JPM), Central Jakarta.

"The suspect's motive for being hurt has been said to be 'you are stupid' by the victim," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Hady Saputra Siagian, Friday, March 24, evening.

The victim also told the perpetrator that he was not afraid of the perpetrator. The perpetrator tried to lighten the atmosphere, but the victim challenged the perpetrator 'what do you want?'.

Hearing this statement, the perpetrator felt annoyed and immediately finished the victim with a cutter. As a result, the victim was helpless because of the many wounds on his body. Until when he was taken to the hospital, the victim was dead.

Meanwhile, regarding the alleged grudge between the victim and the perpetrator, the police are still conducting further investigations.

"We are still investigating whether there is an element of revenge or not," he said.

The relationship between the victim and the perpetrator is an old friend. They have often met to party liquor in a number of places.

"Both of them are old friends. Both of them are being influenced by alcohol. The victim had said he was not afraid of the perpetrators. The perpetrator had brought a knife first, he brought a knife to protect himself. From the perpetrator's confession, he was used to carrying a knife," he said.

The suspect is known to have the initials BI (40). The suspect and the victim are men from Palembang, South Sumatra.
