Audi Announces Design Entry Level Replacement A3
JAKARTA - A car manufacturer from Germany, Audi has confirmed that they will launch a replacement for the Audi A3 in the form of an EV-level entry car that uses the latest platform from the Volkswagen Group.
Previously, during the Audi media conference, Markus Duesmann, as CEO of Audi, stated that Audi in the future and beyond will release a 100% line-up of electric cars.
"In 2027, we are trying to offer all-electric vehicles for each major segment. We recently decided to launch an additional electric entry-level model under the Audi Q4 e-tron, and comparable to the A3," Markus said as quoted by Autocar, Thursday, March 16.
The A3 successor will be equipped with the SSP platform (Scalable Systems Platform) which is the next generation created by VW. Well, with this platform claimed to be able to cover a distance of up to 700 km in one battery charge.
Not only offering long distances, the SSP platform can also charge quickly with a speed of 270 kW, thereby increasing its reach to 129 km for 10 minutes of charging. This model will also receive the new VW battery technology, "Unified Cell".
As previously reported, Audi plans to release at least 20 new models in the next two years, namely until 2025. It can be ascertained that the replacement for the A3 is one of them.
