The two pairs confirmed tickets to the quarter-finals after ending their respective resistance, Thursday, March 23, local time.
Apri/Fadia stepped into the last eight after overthrowing representatives of Thailand, Supissara Paewsampran/Puttita Supajirakul. They won two straight games, 21-17 and 21-13.
Meanwhile Bagas/Fikri had to play three games to end Lee Jhe-Huei/Yang Po-Hsuan's resistance. Had an easy 21-8 lead in the first game, Indonesians actually gave up 15-21 in the second game.
Luckily, in the deciding game, Bagas/Fikri's game improved again. They won the match with a 21-16 advantage in the third game.
