Women From Yogyakarta Died Dismembered, Police Hunt For Perpetrators Fleeing Outside Java

YOGYAKARTA - A woman from Yogyakarta with the initials A (34) died with the condition of being mutilated and her body was found at an inn in Purwodadi Hamlet, Pakembinangun Village, Pakem District, Sleman Regency, on Sunday night.

The Yogyakarta Special Region Police (DIY) are hunting for the alleged perpetrator of the mutilation whose identity has been identified and hunting for news outside Java.

Direktur Reserse Kriminal Umum Polda DIY Kombes Pol Nuredy Irwansyah Putra di Mapolda DIY, Sleman, menuturkan bahwa polisi telah mengantongi identitas tersangka pelaku.

"As a result of the investigation, we got an identity that is suspected to be the perpetrator and currently friends at Resmob or the Yogyakarta Regional Police Opsnal Team and Sleman Police are pursuing it," said Nuredy as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 21.

According to him, currently the perpetrator is suspected of having fled outside the Yogyakarta area.

"The alleged perpetrator is already outside the city of Yogyakarta. We ask for prayers that the perpetrators will be caught quickly," he said.

Nuredy explained that based on the results of a search at the perpetrator's boarding house, the police team found evidence in the form of a letter allegedly written by the perpetrator.

In the letter, the perpetrator expressed regret.

"In the contents of the letter, the point is regret and then there is pressure in the form of debt where the perpetrator bid farewell to his acquaintance," said Nuredy.

The letter, according to him, further strengthens the police's suspicion that the perpetrator committed the murder by mutilating the victim.

"Making our suspicions stronger is that it was the perpetrators who carried out the mutilation," he said.

Previously, the body of a woman was found being mutilated in the room of one of the inns in Purwodadi Hamlet, Pakembinangun Village, Pakem District, Sleman Regency, Sunday, March 19 evening.
