It Turns Out, Marion Jola Was Prohibited From Her Father Being A Singer
JAKARTA Marion Jola revealed that she was banned by her father from pursuing a career as a singer until she finally ran away from home to pursue her dream.
He said this in an interview with Vincent and Desta on Vindes' YouTube channel some time ago.
"So, this is when I was finished at Indonesian Idol. At that time, Indonesian Idol asked me as a participant who had been released for a reunion on the final stage. And that moment coincided with the National Examination, so I thought it was okay to go to Jakarta. Then papah didn't allow it. So it was rejected roughly, basically he didn't agree, "said Marion Jola.
"But, in the end, he only allowed me to appear on the Indonesian Idol stage, because I got a round ticket from his crew, right. In fact, he didn't know that I had prepared three suitcases containing my clothes, so I didn't come back again. So, after that I had time to live in a fan boarding house, fortunately, I also live there with my friends who study in Jakarta. "
Until then there was a contract from the label that had to be signed, papa didn't want to. He was pessimistic that I wouldn't be successful as a singer in Jakarta. Fortunately, my mother referred my papah times, in the end he wanted to," he explained.
With all his struggle to be able to get the blessing of his father, in the end he was able to prove his hard work with brilliant results.
"Yes, that's it, after that I made a single with the title Don't finally get the money to stay at the hotel for just a month. Long story short, the single exploded and I could buy my own house. And from that, I immediately got a confession from my papah, but not through me," he concluded.
Now, Marion Jola has become a singer who is taken into account in the Indonesian music industry. All of this was due to her efforts to produce various songs such as the single Don't (2018), Rayu (2019), Marion's album (2019), and many others.
