JAKARTA A number of banking institutions controlled by the government are known to have completed dividend distribution to shareholders for the 2022 business period. This is in line with the company's ability to generate net profit last year.

The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) agreed to determine 60 percent of the 2022 consolidated net profit or equivalent to IDR 24.7 trillion as dividends to be distributed to shareholders (dividend payout ratio).
Of this amount, the value deposited into the state treasury is IDR 12.84 trillion. While the rest is distributed to public shareholders. Meanwhile, Bank Mandiri's 2022 net profit is IDR 41.2 trillion.
A day later, the AGMS of PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk. (BNI) gave the blessing of dividend distribution of IDR 7.32 trillion. This value is equivalent to 40 percent of the net profit obtained in 2022 amounting to IDR 18.31 trillion.
The government, which holds the majority stake, received a share of IDR 4.39 trillion. Meanwhile, public shareholders are allocated dividends of IDR 2.92 trillion.
Then, PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk. (BTN) is listed as the next business entity that deposits money to shareholders.
It was stated that the dividend value distributed was not less than IDR 609 billion. This figure is 20 percent of the company's net profit of IDR 3.04 trillion.
It is recorded that BTN distributed 80 percent of the dividend portion to the government and 20 percent to public shareholders.
Finally, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk. (BRI) is scheduled to distribute dividends next week. Citing the disclosure of information on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, it is known that BRI plans to spread IDR 43.94 trillion or 85 percent of last year's net profit of IDR 51.4 trillion.
Meanwhile, the figure that is included in the state treasury is IDR 23.15 trillion and the rest will be divided among public shareholders.
