Headless Mutilation Perpetrator In Bogor Arrested While Fleeing To Yogyakarta

Bogor Resort Police, West Java, arrested a suspected corpse mutilator whose headless and leg were found in a red suitcase in Singasi bangsa Village, Tenjo, Bogor.

"Thanks to the hard work of the Bogor Police Satreskrim and the prayers of the community, the perpetrators of the mutilation were arrested and secured by the Bogor Police Satreskrim," said Head of Public Relations of the Bogor Police, Iptu Desi Triana, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 17.

He revealed that the suspect with the initials R was arrested in Yogyakarta, Central Java, while on the run. Currently, said Desi, the suspect is being taken to the Bogor Police Headquarters from Yogyakarta.

"Secured in the Yogyakarta area, Central Java, the perpetrator with the initials R, in this case further police action will be taken and further investigation steps will be taken," he said.

Previously, the Bogor Police Chief, AKBP Iman Imanuddin admitted to forming a special team to uncover cases of finding pieces of a human body or corpse in a suitcase.

He revealed a number of characteristics of the corpse found without a head and leg, namely male, white, has an abstract human image on the left arm, and is estimated to be 45 years old.

Iman said that after the Indonesian Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (Inafis) conducted a crime scene (TKP), the body of the mutilation victim was immediately taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for autopsy purposes.

The head of the local RW, Dendi, explained that the suitcase measuring about 28 inch was found at around 07.30 WIB on the side of the village road. Inside there are pieces of a human body without a head and feet wrapped in black plastic.

"The chronology of the residents saw the suitcase, I don't know what it contained, he said it was opened and found a corpse dismembered, finally he was surprised to report it to the local RT. After that, RT reported to RW. I went to the location, it turned out to be crowded," said Dendi.

Then, he coordinated with regional officials to carry out handling by contacting the police.
