Head Of East Jakarta Intermediate KPP Wahono Saputro Silenced After Being Examined By KPK
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has finished examining Wahono Saputro. The Head of the East Jakarta Intermediate Tax Service Office (KPP) was silent when asked about his investigation which was allegedly related to the jumbo assets of former officials of the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, Rafael Alun.
Wahono left the KPK's Red and White building at around 17.41 WIB. He did not explain the material for his examination to the media crew who had been waiting for him since morning.
He was also silent when asked about his wife's share ownership in the company owned by Rafael Alun's wife, Erni Torondek. Wahono chose to hurry and immediately took a state-owned car that was waiting for him in the area outside the building.
Regarding this examination, Wahono was certainly not asked about his wealth. He was questioned by investigators.
"If the investigation process is not called a witness, the person being examined, will be examined. Not the LHKPN clarification," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 16.
Ali did not provide any additional information. Moreover, from the start he had conveyed that the investigation was usually carried out in a closed manner, different from the investigation.
Previously, the KPK conducted an investigation regarding Rafael Alun's jumbo property which was exposed after his son, Mario Dandy, abused a 17-year-old student, David. The investigation was carried out because it was suspected that there was a game behind the ownership of a wealth of Rp56 billion.
Most recently, the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) has blocked Rafael's safe deposit in a bank amounting to billions of rupiah. It is suspected that this money came from accepting bribes.
