This Electric Car From China Can Advance 700 Km

JAKARTA - Chinese producer Xpeng is re-launching their newest car. This time, Xpeng introduced P7 facelift models for the Chinese market.

At first glance on the exterior, the car called P7i is the same as the standard P7. However, the difference to the standard version is to install a new headlights and optimize the use of the rear wing.

In the interior, the door panel was also changed, paired with a new steering wheel and a converted center console with a wide glass spot accompanied by a wireless device charger. There is also a digital instrument of 10.25 inches, a 15-inch infotainment system and a 20-speaker audio system.

Xpeng offers a different two powertrain variant, namely an entry level variant with an electric motor that can produce 272 dk and a 440 Nm torque. With this electric motor, the car can travel from 0 to 100 km/hour within a period of 6.4 seconds which can go up to 200 km/hour, and has a CLTC reach of 702 km.

Meanwhile, for consumers who want to find a better performance, there is an all-wheel drive variant with a double motorbike that can produce 467 dk of power and a 757 Nm of torque. With this electric motor, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 within 3.9 seconds. However, the range is lower when compared to the entry-level variant, which is 610 km.

The P7i is also equipped with an X-HP2.0 smart thermal management system, namely a system that can increase car cooling capacity by 88.9% and is claimed to maintain speed at 190 km/hour for 30 minutes without experiencing a heat engine or destroying the battery.

Xpeng also offers other systems to P7i, namely "the most advanced driver system in the industry" with Lane Centering, Cross-Level Parking Assistance, and Navigation Guided Pilot features. The system is running Thanks to advanced computing power and the densest variant has dual Nvidia Drive Orin-X SoCs. Also features 31 sensors consisting of 2 lidar units, 5 millimeter wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 12 different cameras.

Xpeng sets prices for the P7i model starting from 249,900 yuan or Rp557.5 million to 339,900 yuan or the range of Rp758 million for the highest variant.
