KAI Speeds Up Landslide Handling Near Batutulis Station, Pangrango Train Operations Stopped For A Maximum Of 3 Days
PT KAI targets to repair the Batutuli Station-Paledang Bogor railway for the Pangrango train crossing Bogor-Sukabumi for the next three days.
Kahumas KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa said the repair in South Bogor District would automatically temporarily stop the Pangrango train journey because the landslide of the track had affected five houses below it.
"We cannot confirm when it will be finished. But the Deputy Mayor (Dedie Rachim) said that a maximum of 3 x 24 hours he wanted to be passed, we will pursue it. Tomorrow we will announce the travel situation in RT07/RW04, Sirna Sari Village, Empang Village, South Bogor District, Bogor City, West Java. Tomorrow," Eva said at the landslide location, Wednesday, March 15, confiscated by Antara.
Eva said that the 25-meter-long TPT landslide caused the tracks to hang so that it was prone to being crossed by trains. Repairing the TPT or rail support takes time to be sturdy to support passing trains.
The chronology of the landslide began on the banks of the Cisadane River in the RT07/04 Kampung Sinar Sari area, South Bogor District. Due to this condition, the officers at the guard post for the area prone to Daop 1 Jakarta immediately maximized monitoring on the rail line area adjacent to the landslide area in Sinar Sari village.
Furthermore, the landslide, which previously occurred on the riverbank on Tuesday, March 14 at 21.00 WIB, began to impact on the TPT of the Bogor Paledang - Batu Tulis railway line in the early hours of this morning. At 00.03 WIB, field officers recorded that there were 25 meters of rail lines affected with a depth of 8 meters and a width of 5.7 meters.
The landslide around the tracks hit five residents' houses and left 17 victims with 11 survivors, two dead and four missing.
For this incident, PT KAI canceled the Pangrango train trip across Bogor-Sukabumi. Tickets that have been purchased by passengers have also been returned 100 percent.
According to ANTARA's observation at the location, the hanging rail surface is quite vulnerable and is about 20 meters down. Officers from PT KAI also appear to be carrying out the process of repairing the cliff area and the rail iron blocks.
PT KAI carried out efforts to strengthen rail road construction by using a stake in H beam and regulating the train's operating pattern.
"We are trying to repair it as soon as possible so that it can be passed back immediately. We ask for time and apologize to prospective passengers who canceled their trip," he said.
