Complete Electric Motor Conversion Subsidy Stages With Cost Terms And Estimation
YOGYAKARTA The government will provide subsidies to people who want to convert fossil fuel vehicles into electric vehicles. So what are the stages of the conversion subsidy of electric motorcycles that must be carried out?
It should be noted that the subsidies provided by the Government to the public regarding the conversion of electric motors are given by taking into account a number of conditions. This means that not all vehicles can receive conversion subsidies.
Fulfillment of the requirements is included in the initial stages to obtain subsidies for the conversion of electric vehicles. Some of the conditions that must be met are as follows, citing from Good Indonesia.
If these requirements are met, the public can go through several stages to obtain subsidies for electric vehicles. The stages that must be passed are as follows.
This stage is in the form of checking whether the vehicle has met the requirements that have been determined or not. It should be underlined that the STNK and KTP must be the same and have an active status
The public can register at a workshop that has a certificate from the Ministry of Transportation.
The physical checking and vehicle testing stage is carried out by the National Police and the Ministry of Transportation.
After checking and testing, the conversion process is carried out until it is complete.
Motorcycles that have gone through the conversion stage will get a STNK and new plates that can be installed on motorbikes.
As has been reported, the amount of subsidies provided by the Government for electric motors is IDR 7 million per unit with a total budget of IDR 1.75 trillion. However, subsidies are only limited to motor conversion of 50,000 units. The rest is allocated to subsidies of 200,000 new electric motors obtained through purchases.
Although the conversion to get subsidies, the public still has to prepare additional funds considering that the conversion of fuel to electricity motorbikes requires a large enough cost of up to tens of millions. These costs are used to finance components such as batteries, BLDCs, to control. In addition, the public must also pay for install services to the workshop, physical test fees, STNK adjustments, and other costs.
The amount of funds needed for electricity conversion is estimated at Rp. 18 million, depending on the condition of the motorcycle. However, there are also those who estimate the conversion cost of Rp. 14.1 million specifically for non-matic motors, while automatic motors are more expensive, which is Rp. 15 million.
With a subsidy of IDR 7 million, the public must pay the remaining cost-deficient independently at different values.
It should also be noted that the conversion subsidy of electric motorcycles does not apply to big motorbikes, aka moge. In addition, each person only gets one chance, either a conversion subsidy or a subsidy for the purchase of electric motorcycles.
