Raising Children Becomes A Personal Fun For Sule
JAKARTA - Comedian from Bandung, Sutisna or better known as Sule's stage name has failed to build a household twice. His marriage to Lina Jubaedah in 1997 had to end in 2018. Then his second marriage to Nathalie Holscher on November 15, 2020 also had to end briefly, not until two years.
From her first marriage, Sule took care of four children after the divorce. Meanwhile, from her second marriage, Sule has a son who is currently being managed by Nathalie.
For Sule, having children and raising them is a pleasure in itself. Although his two eldest children, Rizky Febian and Putri Delina are mature enough to take care of themselves, Sule is still taking care of her two other children, Rizwan and Ferdinand.
"I'm happy to be a parent who can see the development of children from time to time. Because I'm in intense with him (Rizwan and Ferdinand), from starting to send schools and sleep, I'm still running. I'm happy to be a part of that," said Sule in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta last week.
"This is in my personal view, if it's childfree, how do you do it, but if I do, I'll still enjoy it and be very happy taking care of the child," he continued.
Sule feels grateful that there are still people around her who help take care of her children after the divorce. He said that as a single parent he had experienced difficulties. However, at this time he is getting used to it.
As a person raised in the entertainment world, and his oldest child is also active in the entertainment world, Sule does not want to force her other children to follow in her footsteps.
As a single parent, Sule prefers to set an example for her children, especially her children are currently young.
"As parents, they must give the best, give a good example to imitate their children. But I'm not the type who imposes whatever they want, especially for development, creativity and many things. I discuss them more as parents and friends too. Sometimes I act like a child again so that I can balance my mind," said Sule.
Despite giving freedom for their children to be creative, Sule has a harsh method of educating her children to respect others. For him, manners in front of others are crucial.
Certain crucial things, such as ethics with others, are definitely a bit harsh. Because it's important, how can they respect other people out there. But if personally, what development of the mind he wants, as long as I can accommodate, I can follow to adjust, so I just follow," concluded Sule.
