Tempted By Large Salaries, 3 Prospective Workers Of Illegal Indonesian Migrant Workers Forced To Return
Mataram - Three Prospective Indonesian Migrant Workers (CPMI) to Saudi Arabia who were repatriated because they were proven to have departed illegally. They are desperate to leave accompanied by a large salary.
Head of the Mataram City Manpower Office (Disnaker) H Rudi Suryawan in Mataram, Friday, said that the illegal three CPMI pick-up was carried out based on information from the NTB Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Service Center (BP3MI).
"Our team picked them up at Lembar Harbor, then gathered at BP3MI NTB, to then hand them over to their respective families or husbands," he said.
According to him, three illegal CPMI from Mataram City were repatriated along with 15 other CPMI from regencies/cities in NTB with the same destination country. They were arrested by officers in Surabaya.
The three illegal CPMIs are on behalf of Rakmah from Turide Village, Sandubaya District, then Rosdiana Sari from Karang Pule, Sekarbela, and Aminah Village from Sayang-Sayang Village, Cakranegara.
"The mode of the three illegal CPMIs is still in the old mode, they are lured to work and get a salary of Rp. 3 million to Rp. 4 million. With the current conditions, who is not tempted," he said.
Related to that, continued Rudi, to prevent similar cases of Disnaker have repeatedly disseminated the socialization of illegal CPMI prevention through kelurahan and the environment. In this case, he said, the role of the heads of neighborhoods and sub-districts is very important because those who know the condition of residents both coming and leaving.
"Residents who will leave the area or go abroad should report so that the authorities know. If there are indications that illegal CPMI can be prevented early," he said.
Data from the Mataram City Manpower Office noted that with the existence of three illegal CPMIs who were repatriated today, the total illegal CPMI from Mataram City was repatriated to nine people. Previously, on February 3, 2023, similar cases also occurred in six illegal CPMIs with the country destination for Saudi Arabia.
