Boy Dies In Santa Sea Water Tourism Object, Cianjur Police Intervene
SUKABUMI - A boy with the initials A died while traveling on the water of Sante Sae, Citamiang, Sukabumi City. After the death of the 9-year-old boy, the police intervened.
"We are currently still asking for information from a number of witnesses, the management of Waterpark Santa Sea and the families of the victims to find out the cause of the boy's sinking," said Citamiang Police Chief AKP Arif Sapta Raharja as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 9.
According to information gathered from various parties, the boy with the initials A drowned in one of the pools which had a depth of about 150 cm. When found by the swimming pool guard, the victim's condition was already floating.
The security officer of the tourist attraction immediately evacuated the victim from the swimming pool and tried to provide breathing assistance and spur his heart. From the victim's mouth, a liquid came out like foam, but unfortunately A was unconscious and was finally rushed to Kartika Kasih Hospital on Jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani, Warudoyong District, Sukabumi City.
When he arrived at the hospital, the boy was still alive, but he was weak. The medical team also tried to save his life but unfortunately it didn't work. Finally, A, who is a resident of Selaawi Village, Warnasari Village, Sukabumi District/Regency, was declared dead after an hour of medical treatment.
Arif said his personnel had checked the Sukabumi City Kartika Kasih Hospital, the victim was declared dead by a team of doctors after previously receiving medical treatment for almost an hour.
However, his party has not been able to confirm the cause of death of the victim. For further investigation, Citamiang Police personnel installed a police line around the crime scene.
Meanwhile, Head of the Disaster Preparedness Section of the Sukabumi City BPBD Zulkarnain Barhami said it was known that the victim was not a group of students from SDN Selabintana 1, but was brought by her mother to swim to accompany her brother who is a grade V student at SDN Selabintana 1.
It is suspected that the victim was released from the supervision of his parents, where at that time his mother was changing clothes. It is possible that A looked for his mother and slipped or deliberately swam into a 1.5 meter deep pool.
"When found the condition of the victim was floating, his face was blue. Then his teeth bit his tongue, from the nose and mouth came out of foam and was in a very weak condition," he said.
Zulkarnain said the victim was given first aid, but his condition did not improve and was finally rushed to Kartika Kasih Hospital. For further treatment, his party handed over this case to the police.
