Hyundai Launches Ultra-Fast Charging With Great Capacity At Plaza Indonesia
JAKARTA Supporting the efforts of the government and the electric vehicle ecosystem, PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) in collaboration with Plaza Indonesia to build and recently release the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) for the Ultra-Fast Charging model.
Hyundai Motors Indonesia's Chief Operating Officer, Makmur, revealed that the choice of Plaza Indonesia was only a first step towards building Ultra-Fast Charging, which would later also be available at malls in collaboration with HMID.
"This is only one of the plans we have built for Ultra-Fast Charging. This is the largest charging capacity of 240 kW," said Makmur after the Ultra-Fast Charging launch at Plaza Indonesia, March 9.
He also said that apart from malls, other places such as restaurants and hotels are also entitled to have charging stations to launch electric vehicle programs.
However, Makmur believes that it is still too expensive if other places provide Ultra-Fast Charging. So for alternatives, it provides Wall Charger and they are open to cooperation,
"This is a very expensive investment. I don't need to mention the price, but if there is a mall that wants to work together we will talk about it further. But, for Wall Charger if they want to buy it, we will be open to it," he said.
It was also said that HMID had also held talks with other malls on the needs of this Ultra-Fast Charging.
"For others, wait for the game date. This is the first time. It is an honor to be able to launch the first Ultra-Fast Charging. This can charge from 0 to 80 percent with 18 minutes," added Makmur.
Hyundai Ultra-Fast Charging is Hyundai's fastest charging station. With a capacity of 240 kW, of course, the power gained is greater than the 70 kW "Wall Charger".
All electric-powered Hyundai cars can charge with this charging, including the Ioniq 5 through the My Hyundai application.
