Hyundai Prepares The Latest Kona, Can Be Another Powerbank Source Of Electric Cars

JAKARTA - After debuting at the end of last year, Hyundai will introduce the latest generation Kona which will come with two different drivetrain options.

Quoted from the Paultan page, Tuesday, March 2, Hyundai Kona comes with two battery capacity options. The first, with a battery capacity of 48.4 kWh and an electric motor with a power of 153 dk and a torque of 253 Nm. This is referred to as the "Standard Range" variant.

The second version is named "Long Range" with a battery capacity of 65.4 kWh and one electric motor. The amount of power generated is certainly greater, namely 215 dk and the torque of 255 Nm.

Both "Standards" and "Long Range", both have advantages, namely being able to walk at a distance that is classified as far. According to WLTP testing, "Standard Range" can run 342 km in a fully battery condition. As for the "Long Range", it is claimed that it can run up to 490 km.

This latest generation Hyundai Kona has fast charging with 400 volts. The battery in the car can be charged from 10 to 80 percent with only 41 minutes.

It is reported that Hyundai Kona has several new features, namely One Pedal Driving which allows the use of only one pedal while driving. Then there is the Vehicle to Load feature that can be a power bank for other electric cars. Other additional features are the Battery Preconditioning System and Frozen Charge Door Prevention System.

To note, this latest Hyundai Kona has the same front wheel drive system as Ioniq 5.
