Ahead Of Ramadan And Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H, Ganjar Pranowo Pay Attention To Inflation To Homecoming Movements
Ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri, Governor Ganjar Pranowo gathered all food-related stakeholder sectors in Central Java, Wednesday, March 8. Inflation to the movement of travelers is a concern for Ganjar.
There were at least five issues that Ganjar highlighted in the event held at the Gumaya Hotel, Semarang. Among other things, related to the PPKM status that has been revoked. The second is the potential for the movement of travelers. Furthermore, it is still related to collective leave.
"Well, the BMKG continues to warn about extreme weather phenomena that will still occur until the end of March," said Ganjar Pranowo in his direction.
The fifth issue, Ganjar said, is still related to extreme weather that will disrupt the productivity of food crop farming in Central Java.
"This is a momentum that we must pay attention to. The link is with the needs of the community as well as controlling inflation," said Ganjar after the event.
The former member of the Indonesian House of Representatives said that inflation was still looming ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1444 H. Especially regarding the price of rice in Central Java, which is still at Rp. 11,270 per kilogram from the Reference Purchase Price set by Badanas, which is Rp. 9,450.
"Brices are already running and the price is starting to fall, but don't let farmers lose, we ask Bulog to stand by," he said.
Ganjar Pranowo has asked Bulog to continue to be on standby to monitor the condition of the price of dry rice harvesting in farmers. If later the price continues to decline from HAP, Ganjar said that was when Bulog intervened.
Coordination that morning, Ganjar also asked all BUMDs in Central Java to participate in preparing for the situation ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
The chairman of PP Kagama said that the current obstacle is the difficulty of knowing the movement of rice from the main harvest. BUMD was also asked to record existing land productivity, as well as potential that is prone to disruption during extreme weather.
BUMD special wabil yang urusan pangan coba semua berkoordinasi untuk ngecek stoknya ada apa, harganya Seperti apa, kamu mengambil dari mana, kamu jualnya kemana, katanya.
For information, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Central Java noted that inflation in this province in February 2023 reached 0.29 percent. Inflation is triggered by price increases across the index of the expenditure group.
Among them, the food, beverage, and tobacco groups contributed the largest inflation to 0.73 percent. A number of commodities that trigger inflation include rising rice, cigarettes, and shallot prices, and garlic.
Next is the readiness to face the movement of travelers. Ganjar said that in 2023 it is predicted that there will be an increase in the number of travelers reaching 13.38 percent or around 12 million travelers passing through Central Java.
"I ask everyone to be on standby until Eid later to make a simulation so that they can manage the flow of homecoming which is estimated to be up to 12 million who will enter Central Java. So these are the preparations that I think should be, much earlier it will be better," said Ganjar Pranowo.
