Impact Of The Plumpang Depo Fire, SOE Minister Removes Pertamina's Business Supporting Director
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir is reported to have removed Dedi Sunardi from the position of Director of Business Supporting Pertamina.
This removal follows the fire incident at the Oil Fuel Terminal (TBBM) or Pertamina Depot in Plumpang, North Jakarta.
The news was confirmed by Pertamina's VP of Coporate Communication Fadjar Djoko Santoso.
Fadjar said that the replacement had been officially carried out today.
"That's right (there is a replacement for the board of directors)," he told VOI, Wednesday, March 8.
Fadjar said that for the time being the position of Pertamina's Business Supporting Director will be concurrently by the Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of Pertamina Erry Widiastono.
"That's right, (for the time being the position will be concurrently) Mr. Erry," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, did not want to confirm further the news of the dismissal of the board of directors.
Even so, Arya implies that there is a replacement for the board of directors.
"Just wait (the announcement)," he said when confirmed.
For your information, the removal of this board of directors has become a signal given by Erick Thohir after the Pertamina Plumpang Depot fire at the end of last week.
Erick said there was an opportunity for the removal to be the result of the fire.
Erick admitted that he would not hesitate to remove Pertamina's directors if there was no improvement regarding the implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) or occupational health and safety.
Based on records, Pertamina's fire in Pertamina's environment is not the first time this has happened.
Previously, a similar incident occurred at the Pertamina Balongan Refinery, Pertamina Balikpapan Refinery, Pertamina Cilacap Refinery.
Most recently, at the Pertamina fuel depot in Plumpang, North Jakarta.
"If I always say, I have removed Pertamina's directors, if I have to remove them again, yes, I will remove them again. But the settlement is not just blaming each other," he said at Pertamina Central Hospital, Jakarta, Saturday, March 4.
