Pertamina Balongan Indramayu Ensures Fuel Supply To Plumpang Is Smooth
JAKARTA - PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Unit VI Balongan, Indramayu Regency, West Java, guarantees the supply of fuel oil (BBM) to Plumpang Fuel Oil Terminal (TBBM), remained safe and smooth after the fire broke out."We are trying to meet the national energy needs, especially to keep the supply of fuel to the Special Capital Region (DKI) of Jakarta and its surroundings smooth," said the Communication Manager, Relations & CSR of the Balongan Zulkifli Refinery through a written message received in Cirebon, Antara, Sunday, March 5.He said the incident experienced by TBBM Plumpang on Friday, March 3, 2023, would not affect the operational activities of the Balongan Unit VI Refinery, Indramayu Regency.For this reason, people do not need to panic about reducing fuel supply, especially to the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings.Zulkifli emphasized that the Balongan Unit VI Refinery, Indramayu is currently operating normally and safely, and continues to be committed to meeting fuel needs for the domestic community."The refinery continues to produce safely, and the distribution of fuel is also normal," he said.Zulkifli added that the Balongan Unit VI Refinery, Indramayu, is a refinery with a capacity of 150 MBSD which accounts for 12.1 percent of the capacity of all Pertamina refineries in Indonesia.According to him, DKI Jakarta and West Java themselves are the main areas for distributing products from the Balongan Unit VI Refinery with an estimated amount of 82 percent, compared to other regions."We are the largest distributors of fuel, especially for West Java and DKI Jakarta," he said.
