Handling The Impact Of The Plumpang Depo Fire, PLN Deploys 100 Officers To Restore Electricity
PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PLN) deployed more than 100 joint officers to restore electricity after the fire at the Pertamina Plumpang Depot.
PLN Manager of the Tanjung Priok Customer Service Implementation Unit Adi Purwono said PLN continues to coordinate with related parties to secure electricity at the location of the fire.
"At 05.00 this morning PLN officers have succeeded in recovering with cleaning on 4 High Voltage Air Channels (SUTT) affected by the fire in Plumpang," he said in a statement, Saturday, March 4.
In the process of cleaning this, he continued, the electricity in SUTT was diverted to another channel. Thus, the work can be completed quickly and the electricity remains on.
"The amount of ash attached to PLN's electricity network, including SUTT, must be cleaned," he said.
The lines that have been restored are SUTT Plumpang Baru-Pegangsaan 1 and 2, SUTT Plumpang- Prince Karang, and SUTT Plumpang-Kelapa Gading.
After cleaning, PLN officers also carry out inspections to ensure that everything is normal and the equipment is complete.
As is known, the Pertamina Plumpang Depot reportedly experienced a severe fire on Friday, March 3 at around 20.21 WIB.
Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Regional, Eko Kristiawan via text message confirmed the incident.
"There has been a fire in the fuel receipt pipe at the Integrated BBM Jakarta Terminal, Plumpang," he told VOI.
He explained that currently his party is working on countermeasures and evacuations of workers and residents around the location in coordination with all related parties.
