Bank BTPN Credit Disbursement Increases 8 Percent Throughout 2022
PT Bank BTPN Tbk recorded credit growth throughout 2022 of 8 percent year on year (yoy) to IDR 146.12 trillion as of the end of December 2022 from IDR 135.6 trillion in the same period the previous year.
"Credit growth is supported by healthy growth in third party funds (DPK) of 5 percent, CASA of 6 percent and deposits of 4 percent," said BTPN Finance Director Hanna Tantani at a press conference at the BTPN Tower, Tuesday, February 28.
Hanna further detailed that the number of DPK Bank BTPN has increased to IDR 114.87 trillion by the end of 2022.
DPK growth was contributed by CASA balance which increased by 6 percent to Rp40.16 trillion and time deposit which rose 4 percent to Rp74.70 trillion at the end of last year.
The CASA ratio also slightly increased from 34.6 percent to 35.0 percent. Bank BTPN also managed to keep the liquidity ratio and funding at a healthy level, with liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) reaching 229.3 percent and net stable funding ratio (NSFR) 133.7 percent at the position of December 31, 2022. The company recorded a capital adequacy ratio (CAR) of 27.3 percent.
Bank BTPN managed to maintain good credit quality as reflected in the gross non-performing loan (NPL) ratio which was at the level of 1.43 percent at the end of 2022, down from 1.68 percent in the same period last year and lower than the average banking industry which was recorded at 2.44 percent at the end of December 2022.
On the other hand, Hanna continued, Bank BTPN through digital platform Jenius also recorded a good performance. Jenius recorded a growth in the number of registered users by almost 20 percent to 4.4 million by the end of 2022, from 3.7 million a year earlier.
"The third party funds managed by Jenius also grew 52 percent to Rp23.7 trillion, and the total credit disbursed through Jenius (Flxi Cash) was recorded at the level of Rp1 trillion, three times from the previous year's position," concluded Hanna.
