The NTB Police Have Not Arrested The Corruption Perpetrators Of ABBM Poltekkes Even Though They Have Been Suspects For 2 Months

MATARAM - The suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of teaching and learning aids (ABBM) at the Mataram Health Polytechnic (Poltekkes), West Nusa Tenggara, has not yet been detained by police investigators."For the suspect, we have not detained him," said the Daily Executive (Plh.) Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Lalu Muhammad Iwan Mahardan in Mataram, Antara, Monday, February 27.The suspects in this alleged corruption case are two people. They have the initials A and Z, which until now have not been officially disclosed by the police regarding the role and involvement in the case.Regarding not yet detaining the two suspects since the determination in January 2023, Iwan explained that this was the investigator's authority. However, Iwan ensured that his party would continue to supervise."As long as we think the two of them can cooperate and we can't arrest the two of them," he said.Even the cooperative attitude, he explained, had been shown by the two suspects in the agenda of examination in front of investigators. Both of them were confirmed to be present accompanied by legal advisors."Their examination as suspects is for complete files. Investigators have carried out this," he said. The procurement of ABBM at the Mataram Poltekkes comes from the 2017 State Budget which is channeled through the Indonesian Ministry of Health with a budget of Rp. 19 billion.Purchase of ABBM goods through e-catalog. However, there is also a direct way through a tender system won by seven provider companies involving 11 distributors. One of the items purchased was a mannequin. The tool is to support practices in the majors of nurses, midwives, nutrition, and health analysts. However, it is suspected that some of the items sourced from the procurement cannot be used so that they are stalled. The reason the campus cannot use it is because it is not in accordance with the needs of the learning curriculum. From this case, previously there were findings from the Inspectorate General of the Indonesian Ministry of Health worth Rp. 4 billion. This figure, he said, was still common because it not only emerged from the Mataram Police, but also from the Banda Aceh and Tasikmalaya Poltekkes West Java.Investigators have also asked for a copy of the findings of the Indonesian Ministry of Health's Itjen for the need to audit state losses. However, Itjen rejected the request so that investigators traced the loss by cooperating with BPKP.Because it seems slow since handling in 2018, this case has received the spotlight from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).As a form of attention, the anti-corruption commission routinely conducts coordination and supervision (corsup) related to the handling of the case.In early September 2022, the KPK held a corsup by inviting BPKP investigators and auditors to find solutions to problems that hinder the development of the case. The follow-up to the corsup, BPKP managed to complete the calculation of state losses. The calculated results have now been pocketed by investigators. However, for the nominal value of the state loss, the NTB Police have not disclosed it to the public.
