League Results 1: Persikabo 1973 Win 2-1 In The PSS Sleman Kandang
JAKARTA - Persikabo 1973 has stopped a series of minor results after beating PSS with a score of 2-1 in the 27th week of Liga 1 Indonesia at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Sunday.
"In this match Persikabo 1973 won thanks to goals scored by Dimas Drajad and Yandi Sofyan, after previously falling behind PSS Sleman due to Riki Dwi Saputro's goals," the Indonesian League notes.
This is Persikabo 1973's first victory under coach Aidil Sharin Sahak after in the last 8 matches only being able to make three draws and swallow five defeats.
This victory made Persikabo 1973 move up to 13th in the Indonesian League 1 standings with 29 points from 26 matches, while PSS Sleman had to go down to 15th position with 28 points from 27 matches.
In the first half, PSS Sleman took the initiative to attack first and gave a threat through Riki Dwi's shot which was still soaring over Persikabo's crossbar.
Persikabo turned to threaten when Dimas Drajad was able to send the ball to Silvio Junior, but the Brazilian player's shot was still sideways from PSS' goal.
The home team had another chance after Ibrahim Sanjaya was able to send the ball into Persikabo's penalty box, but unfortunately, Haris Tuharea's shot was still soaring.
PSS was finally able to break into Persikabo's goal when Jihad Ayoub's pass was met by Riki Dwi so that the score turned 1-0 in the 33rd minute. The score lasted until the first half was over.
In the second half, Persikabo had the opportunity to equalize when a header from Bruno Dybal, who used a corner, was denied by PSS goalkeeper Ega Rizky.
Persikabo managed to equalize in the 67th minute when Roni Sugeng's corner was met by Dimas Drajad whose header could not be pushed aside properly by Ega Rizky so that the score changed to 1-1.
Laskar Pajajaran's squad was finally able to turn things around when Yandi Sofyan Munawar broke into the net from PSS Sleman in the 90+4 minute after using a pass from Dimas Drajad so that the score turned 2-1 which lasted until the game was over.
Furthermore, Persikabo 1973 will host Bali United in the 28th week of Liga 1 Indonesia, Friday (3/3), while PSS Sleman will travel to Persita Tangerang headquarters the day before.
