KKP Take ADVANTAGE Of Land Grants In Aceh For Economic Improvement Of Fishery Products
JAKARTA The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) received a 3,500 square meter land grant from the East Aceh Regency Government. It is planned that the land located in Bayeun District will be used to strengthen the economic value of fishery products, especially in the quality assurance sector.
The Fish Quarantine, Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Products (BKIPM) Pamuji Lestari has so far received 20 land grants with an area of about 30 hectares.
"We are very grateful, of course this is an extraordinary support for us to be more active in carrying out our duties. Especially in East Aceh," he said on the official website quoted on Sunday, February 26.
According to Pamuji, his party continues to encourage an increase in the number of fishery vessels that comply with quality requirements. In addition, continue to strengthen quality guarantees and safety of fishery products in local community aquaculture businesses.
"We also continue to encourage quality control in strategic commodities in villages and cultivation areas. Likewise, ensuring that seeds, feed, cultivation and post-harvest handling must be monitored to fulfill quality requirements," he said.
Pamuji added, BKIPM also continues to transform and strengthen governance to carry out its role as a work unit that focuses on controlling and supervising the quality of marine and fishery products in fully supporting the Blue Road Map (Road Map Blue Economy).
Given the important task of BKIPM, he hopes that land grants from the Aceh Regency Government can be used to support the performance of his staff, especially in Aceh.
"Once again we thank you for this land grant, hopefully in the future we can continue to synergize and collaborate to provide benefits to the community," he said.
Previously, the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, said that quarantine is a matter of national security and sovereignty, preventing the spread of disease. Minister Trenggono said quarantine and quality control were at the forefront of maintaining the quality of fishery products.
"Mutu's control remains the domain of the KKP, ensuring that from upstream to downstream and can meet predetermined standards and qualifications, the KKP has designed a major Blue Economy-themed program," said Minister Trenggono.
