Inter Miami Serious Wants Boyong Lionel Messi And Sergio Busquets

Inter Miami tactician Phil Neville confirmed his team had a strong desire to bring Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets in the transfer window next summer.

Messi and Busquets' fate is uncertain even though their contracts expire at the end of the 2022/2023 season. The two players are reportedly negotiating a new contract with their respective teams.

"I will not deny it, there is indeed speculation that we are interested in Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets," Neville said as quoted by Football Espana.

Messi whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) expires at the end of this season has been linked to a number of clubs. He was recently linked to his childhood team Newell's Old Boys.

In addition, the winner of Qatar's 2022 World Cup was also rumored to be being brought back by his former club Barcelona. Another report says there is potential for him to follow Cristiano Ronaldo to the Middle East.

There are also reports that Les Parisiens intends to offer another one-year contract extension for the owner of the seven Ballon d'Ors. However, all of the rumors are still gray.

Busquets' contract with Barcelona will also expire at the end of this season. Spanish giants are said to want to keep their players, but there must be a reduction in wages.

Uncertainty over their future opens up the possibility that these two players could reunite at David Beckham's club next season. Moreover, Inter Miami is quite serious about chasing the two.

"We want to bring the best players in the world to this football club. Messi and Busquets are the two most prominent players in recent years," said Neville.

"They are great players who will still provide great benefits to the organization. For MLS, this will be a game changer," added the former England international.

Messi and Busquets previously jointly strengthened Barcelona between 2008 and 2021. Their cooperation at the Catalan club managed to bring in dozens of trophies.
