Extraordinary, Water Availability At IKN Nusantara Prepared Until 2100

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has prepared the availability of raw water needs for the State Capital/IKN Nusantara until 2100. "The provision of raw water needs for IKN Nusantara will be prepared up to 2100," said the Director General of Water Resources of the Ministry of PUPR Jarot Widyoko, in Penajam, Friday, February 24, as reported by Antara. The construction of the Sepaku Semoi Dam which is currently being carried out has a capacity of 2,500 liters per second, he continued, is divided into providing raw water for IKN Nusantara 2,000 liters per second and Balikpapan City 500 liters per second.

In addition to dams, the Ministry of PUPR is also building an intake of the Sepaku River with a capacity of 3,000 liters per second for the availability of new Indonesian IKN raw water. So that in 2030, the Ministry of PUPR will start building the Sepok Stone Dam with a capacity of 5,000 liters per second to increase the raw water supply for the Nusantara IKN area.

"We plan to build the Lepek Stone Dam in 2030 and finish it in 2035," he said. Along with the development and population growth, it is predicted that the Lepek Stone Dam will be able to meet the raw water needs of the Nusantara IKN until 2045. The ministry will again build the Asyangyu Dam with a capacity of 3,950 liters per second in 2040, which is able to survive to provide raw water for the Nusantara IKN area until 2060. From the planning that has been prepared, said Jarot Widyoko, the availability of IKN Nusantara raw water is prepared up to 2100 by building several dams and other institutions.. A number of water storage that already exists in the East Kalimantan Province, can also be used to provide raw water supply for the new Indonesian IKN area.
