It Is Proven That The Investigation Of The Murder Case Of Brigadier J, Winner Of Adhi Makayasa, Was Sentenced To 10 Months In Prison

The defendant Irfan Widyanto was found guilty in the obstruction of justice case or the obstruction of the investigation into the death of Brigadier J. The panel of judges sentenced him to 10 months in prison.

"The defendant was sentenced to 10 months in prison," said Chief Judge Afrizal Hadi during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Friday, February 24.

In addition to the crime, the former Head of Sub-Directorate I Sub-Directorate III of the Directorate of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri was also sentenced to a fine of Rp. 10 million, subsidiary to three months in prison.

The verdict handed down to Irfan Widyanto was based on several considerations. For burdensome matters, the defendant is considered an active investigator at the Directorate of Criminal Acts of the Police who should be an example.

Meanwhile, the consideration of mitigating the defendant Irfan Widyanto has served the country and has excelled as Adhi Makayasa at the Police Academy education in 2010.

In the panel of judges' decision, Irfan Widyanto was proven to have taken CCTV DVR at the security post of the Police Complex, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta on orders from the defendant Agus Nurpatra.

Thus, his actions were deemed to have violated Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
